Michelle Obama’s fans couldn’t help but express how much they have missed seeing her at the White House after she shared an inspiring post amid the coronavirus outbreak.
On her Instagram account, the ex-FLOTUS shared some doable tips on how people can help their communities even when they are on self-quarantine. For instance, volunteering with a school’s food distribution program or asking a teacher how they could help can go a long way.
The former first lady also said that Americans who are interested to read stories to their young neighbors might want to consider contacting their parents and asking how they could help.
Offering to pick up groceries from at-risk or elderly neighbors is also another way to help the community. Additionally, calling the local hospital or fire station to ask how they can donate food for the workers can also do wonders amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Barack Obama’s wife included an inspiring caption to her post that made her supporters miss her even more. She and the ex-POTUS left the White House three years ago after Donald Trump was elected as president of the United States.
“These past few weeks have been scary and difficult for many of us. We just don’t have a roadmap for what we’re currently experiencing—that in and of itself can bring up feelings of anxiety, loneliness, and fear. Not to mention the worry we feel about the health and safety of our parents, children, and loved ones and the financial security of so many families,” she wrote.
“Whatever you’re going through right now, I want you to know you aren’t alone. Even as we practice social distancing, this new normal is something we are figuring out together,” she added.
